Karameller

Karameller is this Classic Swedish candy store nestled in the heart of Yaletown in downtown Vancouver BC. Ellie and I stopped by this brand new candy store while we where in Canada. We fell in love from the moment we stepped on the cute tiled honeycomb floor. Karameller, translated in Swedish means "hard candy." Each of these sweet treats are purchased and imported from Scandinavia. Louise and her Husband own and operate the store and are thrilled to bring part of their childhood memories to life in Canada. Sweet Bake Shop

Ellie and I made it to Canada before Sweet Bake Shop closed! My sweet friend Tessa is going onto bigger and better adventures. She has worked extremely hard this past year at her Shop. It has paid off and now she is making plans for the New Year! Congratulations, I'm so happy for you! We love Vancouver BC, it was so fun traveling up there to check out this Bakery. Her baked goods were delishous, but I have to say my favorite part was receiving their aborble macaron boxes and pink gift bags! I mean come on! Too cute... I love the attention to detail. Brasada General Store

We love Eastern Oregon... Especially Brasada Ranch! Years ago we purchased property at this Ranch. We have been sitting on it waiting for the perfect time to start building. We aren't there just yet, but getting closer. Our family loves going to the Ranch to swim, golf and enjoying all of the other amazing ammenidities. The kids love the Ranch House for Dinner and S'mores by the fire late night. The last time we where in town, I took these photos of Brasada's NEW general store! Isn't this so cute? Tea Bar PDX

Ellie and Taylor are having their Summer to remember. Being a teenager and being able to drive has given Ellie new wings! The Girls have adventured out on shopping trips, hiking trips, vacations, workout classes, farmers markets and lake trips. It's FUN seeing them buzz around town. It's especially FUN when they try new places. Yesterday, they went to Tea Bar... In Northeast Portland. This clean and crisp restaurant ended up becoming the back drop to their photo shoot! Hot August Nights

We had such a FUN weekend! On Saturday, we went to Hot August Nights with Jason's Fraternity Brother's and their adorably sweet wives. Hot August Nights is your neighborhood block party on the water. Hundreds of waterfront and easement residents and their friends gather on the Northeast side of Lake Oswego. Buoy lines open at 5pm and the concert starts at 6:30pm. The stage is on land at one residents home. They are sweet enough to host every year! The last three years the band has been The Beatniks, playing tunes that are from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Our local City hosts concerts every Thursday night during July & August. July was such a crazy month we didn't get a chance to go. Friends of ours meet us there last night and we had the best time!
