I can't get over how gorgeous these flowers were at my styled BoHo Wedding. I worked with Grand Ave. Florist to get the right vibe for this reception. We used airy greenery and white flowers. I also added flowers to the dessert table to add a softness to the wood farm table. I had the florist make large fresh eucalyptus garland for above the bar. This also hid a metal piece that was above the bar that really was an eye sore. Truth be told, I loved it so much, I got a number of compliments. I think the venue was going to rethink their design and add something permanent there. I added lighter weight garland to my large round … [Read more...]

Tulip Festival
Ok- truth be told, I have NEVER been to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Oregon! I love tulips and I was lucky enough that my Aunt's best friend owned a tulip farm in Hillsboro, Oregon. As a child I got to venture out into the fields of tulips! Such fun childhood memories. Every year, I talk about going to this Festival which is located in Woodburn, Oregon. I so happy to say... this year I made it! I was beautiful... I'm a freak about color and I was in Heaven. Rows and rows of Tulips. Every color combination you could think of and so many variety of styles. My sweet Ellie joined me. I will go back every year from this point on! … [Read more...]
Spring Front Porch
Spring is in the air.... I found these sweet flowers the other day and decided to hang them on my front porch trellis. I bought the trellis last Summer and painted it. I tucked it in the garage during the Winter season and I was super happy to pull it out and decorate it for the Spring. I used framing wire to adhere the flowers to the trellis. I organized my flowers in a color pattern. I wasn't quite sure how many I needed when I originally purchased my flowers and I came up short, so I had to go back for more to add to the trellis. I'm so excited about the way it turned out. I'm even more excited that it's Spring! Happy Wednesday Friends! … [Read more...]
May Day
As a child I remember making May Day flower baskets and hanging them on our neighbors door. Every May 1st I think of this special treat. How happy and surprised the receiving family would be... The baskets I made where the cone shaped- this is where you cut a 7 inch square then scallop the edges. Paper hole the ribbon through the top. I then saw this recycled can idea and thought how clever... You could even decorate the can with card stock or wrapping paper to add color. But even better you could add water to the flowers. Have a Happy May Day and make someone special a May basket! … [Read more...]
